Fowey is ideally placed to access the relatively unspoilt waters of St Austell Bay. For cruising yachts, Fowey is an ideal destination for thos on passage to the west towards Falmouth, The Helford and the Scillys or east towards Plymouth, The Yealm, Dartmouth and further. Two sailing clubs exist in Fowey, The Royal Fowey Yacht Club and The Fowey Gallants Sailing Club, both of whom offer a warm welcome and showers to visiting Yachtsmen.
