Summer Storage at Penmarlam Quay
The summer storage period runs from 1st April to the 14th October.
Self Launching: Summer storage customers who opt to self launch their vessels may use the slipway at any time for this purpose during the summer period. Slipway use may be restricted during FHC launching operations or during events and notices/ verbal instruction will be given at these times.
Customers keeping their boats at the facility for the whole year may use the slipway during the winter period, however FHC cannot guarantee that the vessel will not be "blocked in" by winter storage boats.
The price of storage includes harbour dues for the use of the river, car parking for one car and storage for one trailer whilst the boat is afloat. The price does not include any overnight mooring.
Self launching with mooring: The same conditions apply as above, however in this instance the price of storage also includes sixteen nights mooring in the harbour. Customers are required to contact Fowey Harbour Office for a berth allocation prior to launching their boat.
FHC launching with mooring: The price of storage includes harbour dues, parking for one car, up to five launches/ recoveries and sixteen nights mooring in the harbour.
A date for recovery must be given at the time of booking a launch as only nights requested will be deducted from the mooring entitlement. Any mooring time used in excess of sixteen nights will be charged at the advertised nightly rate.
It should be noted that all launches/ recoveries and mooring use must be between 1st April and 14th October. Any mooring time or lifts left over cannot be carried over into the next year.
Dinghy racks are provided for boats under 12 feet capable of being stored vertically
It should be noted that FHC cannot take responsibility for any personal possessions and that boats, equipment, cars, and trailers are stored at owner's risk.
Boats on trailers: Trailers may be locked for security purposes however a spare key must be left with FHC so that trailers can be moved for operational reasons.
Outboards, Electronics, Boat Equipment: In line with current police advice, it is recommended that all small gear, portable outboards and other boat equipment is removed when the boat is not in use.
