Fowey Harbour Patrol work until dusk in the summertime and operate on VHF Channel 12.
Out of Hours Emergency calls should be made to the Fowey Harbour Office 01726 832471 and will be transferred to the duty officer.
The harbour area is covered by Wi-Fi. Detect and connect to the Fowey Harbour Club Wi Fi wireless network and select an option from the pricing plan (e.g. per hour/day/week).

The speed limit in the estuary in 6 knots over the ground, which is approximately walking pace.
Fowey Regatta Week is held in mid-August each year.

Readymoney Cove at the entrance of the harbour is a designated bathing area, in the summer period it is closed to boats to ensure safety for swimmers.
Swimming is not permitted from pontoons or within the harbour area.
Jet skis and PWC are permitted within the estuary as long as they adhere to the 6 knot speed limit and other port safety requirements.
Readymoney Cove is closed to all motorised craft during the summer bathing season.

Complete a mooring licence application form, available from the Harbour Office. Include as much information about the intended boat as possible. There is an application fee which is detailed on the form.
Please note that the Deep Water Waiting List is currently closed to new applicants therefore we are currently only accepting applications for drying moorings in the upper estuary.
Don't forget to let us know if your details or requirements change whilst you are on the waiting list as this may affect our allocation process.
A temporary mooring is a permanent resident’s mooring which is not being used for the forthcoming season and is available for FHC to sublet for the season. The mooring remains in the permanent licensee’s name and on the conclusion of the season, the mooring reverts back to them.
Anyone on the waiting list for a permanent mooring is eligible for a temporary mooring allocation provided their boat is suitable for the mooring in question.
Temporary mooring application forms are available from the harbour office and an administration fee is payable. As this is an annual system, temporary licensees need to re-apply on an annual basis.
Fowey Harbour Commissioners offer summer and winter storage at various sites around the estuary and can accommodate kayaks and dinghies right to up craneage for boats up to 8 tonnes displacement.

Swinging and fore and aft visitor moorings are available in the lower harbour they are BLUE in colour.
There are also visitor pontoons in the mouth of Pont Pill and Underhills opposite the Fowey town. A shore-linked visitor pontoon area is available upriver at Mixtow.
We do not pre-book visitor moorings unless part of a planned rally and they are on a first-come first-served basis. In busy periods, please expect to be rafted with other vessels.
