Works to Shiploader - No. 8 Jetty

Mariners are advised that the shiploader on No.8 jetty is due to undertake major engineering works from Saturday 18th November and last approximately 3 weeks.

The boom will be extended over the edge of the jetty in a horizontal position and will therefore present an obstruction to vessels navigating close to this jetty.

All vessels are advised to give this area a wide berth until the works are complete.

MARINERS NOTICE - LNTM 2017/07

Engineering Works at C. Toms & Son Boatyard

Mariners are advised that as part of the civil engineering project at C. Toms & Son Boatyard, Polruan, the 40m KML crane barge will be moved from its current position in the lower harbour to Polruan Pool. The movement of the barge will require the use of a harbour tug.

The crane barge will be moored adjacent to C. Toms & Son’s boatyard using mooring cables. Underwater obstructions will be marked by large yellow buoys. This plant and its moorings present a hazard to navigation and a wide berth must be given at all times.

This work is forecast to commence on Thursday 12th October and the barge will be moved back out into the lower harbour on Tuesday 17th October.
